Anybody going to watch the new "Alice in Wonderland" on SyFy tomorrow?
Looks pretty good and the cast is pretty strong for SyFy- Kathy Bates as the Queen of Hearts, Tim Curry, Harry Dean Stanton, Matt Frewer, Colm Meaney and the reviews I've read have been pretty positive - along the lines of last year's Tin Man level.

1. I'm making a point of skipping it
Not enough acid in the world to watch what will be a huge cow flop.
I have no idea why I'm so negative on it's prospects by the way.

3. I might.
I don't know what I'll be doing tomorrow. 8PM, right? (I could go look, I just thought you might know.)

I am absolutely nagging my friend Andie to watch it though because her own artwork is heavily-inspired by Lewis Carroll and if she misses it, she's going to give me hell until I track down a DVD of it for her. I've totally go better things to be doing than tracking down a DVD of a just-released motion picture and overnighting it to Southington.

5. Only if Alice is now a hooker by trade.
I mean, when remaking something, one HAS to put in a modern gimmick...

8. I'm pretty close to 100% certain that it will suck.
And comparisons to last year's Tin Man are IMO about on par with "It's as good as Attack of the Clones."

I suspect that both of these "reimaginings" would work better as graphic novels instead of miniseries.

15. Still...
I watched some of it, and I never got past the feeling that they were trying too hard to be super hip with their postmodern rereading of the Baum world.

Nothing wrong with reimagining an established work, of course, but I just didn't care for what they made of it.

9. Tin Man sucked last year.
So I've got a feeling this will suck as well.

The only reason why I watched Tin Man was because of Zooey Deschanel (I have a little crush on her).

11. I'll avoid it like the plague.

Learned my lesson with that Wizard Of Oz thing a couple years back. (EDIT: The Tin Man)

However, if it's good, I'll hear about it later and watch it then.

13. They ruined Dune, Ruined Riverworld, Tin Man sucked
Canceled Farscape and run fucking ghost hunting shows.

Why give this lame ass channel with the made up trademarkable name another chance.

14. Dune was generally well received
from what I recall, as was Tin Man. Never saw Riverworld.
