Leading Brain Surgeon Suspended Over Bowl Of Soup
<snip>

LONDON (Reuters) - A leading British brain surgeon has been suspended from work following a dispute over a bowl of soup, the Daily Mail newspaper reported Monday.

Terence Hope was sent home from the Queen's Medical Center in Nottingham, where there is a 39-day waiting list for brain operations, after being accused of taking extra croutons without paying, the paper said.

"A consultant was suspended following an alleged incident at the hospital which did not relate to any patient or to another member of staff," the medical center said in a statement.

8. He had two bowls of NHS soup?
He doesn't need suspension, he needs therapy.

"A consultant was suspended following an alleged incident at the hospital which did not relate to any patient or to another member of staff,"

It's worrying that they have to clarify that the bowl of soup was not a member of staff. And you thought medicare sucked...
