1. I kind of did that once
I started out in Ohio and ended up on Marathon Key down in Florida sitting on a beach and feeding beer to a goat. That goat was holding his own until he started trying to make out with a duck. I decided it was time to cut him off after that. When I found out that the mosquitoes in Florida were the size of vultures I decided to get on home.

For me the choice between some snow and bugs the size of B-52s isn't difficult. Besides, we keep better in the cold.

You're the only other person I've seen use that line besides myself, and the tv show I heard it on. Did you get it from the same place?

6. Up here in Northern Minnesota we have both
Lots of snow and mosquitoes that make Florida's mosquitoes look like miniatures.

9. In New Hampsire it's the black fly.
I've ridden on planes smaller than some of those monsters.

11. Unfortunately we have those too
Plus deer flies, horse flies, sand flies, wood ticks etc. Damn why DO I live here? No Scorpions yet but with global warming it could happen.
