A young couple boarded the bus with me today...18-20 years old
at the clinic. The bus was crowded but they started playing a street game called "Beep Jeep"..everytime one of them spotted a jeep and the first one who said "Beep Jeep" they got a point. They called out taxicabs too, but apparently they weren't worth any points.

I just thought it was cute that this couple played this game and amused themselves on a crowed bus while everone else hovered over their crackberries and smart phones.

2. As I get older, I've started to appreciate kids more and more
not only the little kids, but the young adults as well.

3. Yeah, every once in a while I stumble upon some that make me feel that way.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to happen much in this area. At least in the areas I frequent.

4. When I was a kid, Volkswagen Beetles were "slugbugs"
Station wagons were "bedbacks" and Ford Mustangs were "horsehairs". I don't remember ever getting any points for spotting them, but I always dreaded getting "slugged" when someone saw a Beetle.

9. That was when beetles were EVERYWHERE
Every household had a beetle in my culd-de-sac at one point when I was growing up.

16. My kids did "slugbug" a lot last summer.
They started expanding it, making hit/car rhymes for every model they could think of. Like "You get a bruiser/PT Cruiser" and "Give you a hit/Honda Fit" and the like. It was a good excuse to smack each other.

17. Nuh uh!
They were punch-buggies!

And cars with only one working headlight were "pediddles"

5. Nice. Another fun thing to do is try to get passing
truckers to pull their horn. Remember the arm gesture for that?

6. Yeah, but I'd rather the truck driver not be staring at all the individual occupants of
a bus to see if the gesture is being made :)

7. Good point, but I remember doing that
and getting a rush the times the truckers would pull their horns. :)

11. Trust me, the truckers aren't looking for the horn gesture..
they are looking for nudity and just to see if the people are good looking.

People do strange things in their cars and if you spend enough time on the road with that particular vantage point, you get to see a lot of crazy stuff.
