Does Rush belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?

1. Do we allow Canadians in there?
If that is an eligibility rule, I guess we have to let Rush in.

3. Neil Young has been inducted twice
As part of Buffalo Springfield and as Neil Young.

So Canadians do have a shot at it.

Rush certainly should!

10. But oddly enough
He was NOT inducted with Crosby Stills & Nash. Which seemed a bit weird.

13. I know...that is strange, isn't it?
I always wonder if he ever saw that as a slight.

I get that are pretty unique and have done it for a long time. They keep coming out with news stuff all the time too....Not for me. But I really respect them.

5. I like the cut of your gib.
That is an excellent attitude. I'm slowly coming around to it. I rarely cut down other peoples taste in music, movies etc. When I catch myself,I bit my tongue or don't hit send.

8. Doesn't the HOF hate progsters?
Granted, in the case of Rush I agree, but I like some of the other 70s prog stuff.

I guess what I'm saying is "don't hold your breath."

12. Yes, for one reason
They're a rock band--okay, progressive rock, but rock nonetheless.

If James Brown, The Coasters, Marvin Gaye, BB King, Smokey Robinson, Muddy Waters, Otis Redding, The Temptations, Hank Ballard, Wilson Pickett, Booker T and the MGs, Sly & the Family Stone, Bob Marley, Gladys Knight and the Pipps, Isaac Hayes, and Miles Davis (none of whom are rock bands) can get in the Hall, so should Rush.

14. Of course they do!
Even the haters admit that Rush is unique. There is no one else like them. I think thats why I love Geddy Lee so much..He's not like anyone else out there and he's a very very talented musician (as are all the members of Rush)...:loveya:

15. Don.t care for their music anymore
but back in the day they were as good,if not better, than anyone else out there.
They get my vote for inclusion.

16. Yes. It should be a slam dunk.
They're more qualified than many artists that are already in.
