Facebook reminds me of the Talking Heads song 'Once in Lifetime'
Edited on Wed Feb-10-10 01:03 AM by arcadian
So everybody grew up and had kids. Wow. Fancy that. I find it incredibly mundane yet fascinating at the same time. I find myself searching for people I can barely remember their name and only knew for a couple of years in the 4th and 5th grade. All the kool kids from high school, the Claire's from The Breakfast Club who made good grades and did extra curricular activities and came from family money, what do you know they are all rich too, still. All have little cookie cutter houses with cookie cutter jobs and Stepford ideals, all making good coin. And they all look interchangeable, the kids, the husbands, the wives, the lives... you could switch one out for another and it would all look the same. The week long vacation pics from Saint Croix, the skiing pics from Vail, the kids riding bikes, Disney. It's all so depressing. Plastic. American dream

Seriously, we should all sit in a circle around arcadian, sit cross legged at his feet while he lectures about the nature of humankind and throws little nuggets of wisdom our way. We should be so lucky.
