9. Training? Licenses? I remember my training to drive a forklift:
"That button starts it. This moves the fork up & down. That one tilts it back & forward. Otherwise, it's just like a car."

13. And hey, what's with the fancy pants get-up for lifting someone into the air?
all you have to do, is park really close to the storage rack, climb up on top of your lift, then climb up the rack. Hey, I've done it. I get impatient.

5. I once dropped two crates of glazing on a job
Double glazed units mean there is a vacuum between the panes (I think). It sounded like bombs going off.

oops.

:P

8. As long as they don't come crashing down...
...did they come crashing down?

Thankfully the most I've ever done was nicked the occasional empty pallet. And one time I managed to drop a plastic tote full of stainless steel tube blanks on the asphalt, but that wasn't a big deal.

Sure, it occured outside the hearing-testing trailer that was parked next to my work... while a hearing test was in progress, but hey, shit happens...

11. Somewhere I have a picture of a forklift lifting a forklift lifting ANOTHER forklift.
They were trying to put something on a platform above and that was their solution. I have no idea if it ended in tragedy or not.

and did a lot of damage to a dock door once. Embarrassing.
