1. Try this:
Hold the CTRL key, and press the "+" key.

or, hold the CTRL key and move the wheel on your mouse (if your mouse has a wheel).

2. top of the lounge page
top left of the main lounge page (and probably others) under the Democratic Underground logo is an option to use larger font.

As mentioned above "Ctrl" and "+" works as well, at least if you use Firefox.
