How are you today?

Only 2 more days till weekend :woohoo: I will visit my mom this weekend. In the last few months she was more often at my place than I was at her place. So it is time again.

As mentioned yesterday I did buy me spring flowers and actually planted them too yesterday. Finally there is some color again on my balcony :D

Your flowers are beautiful. They sure do brighten up your patio, especially this time of year. I wouldn't dare put flowers out yet, much to cold at night.

I do hope they survive the weekend as it is supposed to get colder again x( But I do believe that those plants can resist colder temps. I won't put any other plants out till the Ice Saints passed (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_Saints)

13. That's interesting about

the Ice Saints. I never heard of them. When I was planting a garden, I didn't plant before the third week of May, which coincidentally does coincide with your Ice Saints. Big planting also happens during Memorial Day weekend. Seeing I don't have a garden anymore, I don't worry about it. I just wish it would get warm fast and stay that way.

14. This is only my second year

with the balcony and planting. I enjoy it. But I am also glad I don't have a garden. The balcony is just perfect for me :D

The weekend is almost here! :woohoo: There's a renfest promotion this weekend, I'll be working Saturday. Next, I'll be adding jewels (rhinestones) to my vest, I just have to decide how to arrange them. :think:

no, the stones are mounted. I just have to press them into the fabric and glue them in place. Anything beyond sewing buttons I leave to the professionals. Since one of the major renfest clothing shops may not be returning, I'm having some extra trousers made this weekend.

That's a beautiful planter of flowers you have. Did you grow them from seeds?

No, I bought the plants yesterday. I am only trying this year to grow strawberries and some herbs from seeds. Wish me luck.

As for sewing clothes, my mother did that years ago. I learned some very basic skills, but not tailoring. Also, some of the renfest performers are very good tailors and that becomes a seasonal part-time job. They've paid for some very fancy costumes with the money earned from tailoring. Cha-ching! $$
