I thought I'd get flamed for even mentioning Jethro Tull in a Heavy Metal thread. But HEY! If they're Heavy enough for the Grammys...

I loved Tull but flute and heavy metal, although they sounded pretty great together, just seemed a little odd somehow. Back then, though, it was anything-goes-time. Some amazing music came out of that era.

When I bought this LP, my mom was seriously worried because she thought it may have meant I was into devil worship. She sat and listened to it and realized that wasn't what it was about at all. I'm not altogether sure she understood "Sweet Leaf" though.
