How do I post

1. You have to have them hosted elsewhere

DU doesn't host pictures. So get a photobucket account, upload your pics, and then post the direct links here.

Photobucket is one among a jillion ways to achieve that.

6. That's what I did, started a Photobucket account.

The first time I posted a pic of my dogs, another kind DUer did it for me. BTW, you probably want your pix to be medium size and you choose the bottom link to post it. Preview it first to make sure it worked. Good luck and let us know if you have trouble. :hi:

Thanks for the advice on the picture size. I posted a rather large picture. :-) Don't know why one was so much bigger than the others. Guess I'll figure out how to adjust.

To make a pic smaller, what you do is put your cursor on top of your pix. It will tell you what size it is, large, etc., when you have your cursor on "resize." You can either "edit" or "resize." It will give you a choice of keeping your original pic, which I do, but you can post the smaller one. :hi:

12. I am, too, but I've been at this awhile.

So I'm the first to sympathize and try to help someone else. The first time I posted a pic of my dogs, I had no clue how to do it, so another DUer offered to do it for me. I e-mailed her my pic (knew how to do that) and she posted it for me. DUers are incredibly helpful and generous, so I try to pay it forward when I can... :hi: :hug:
