How Many Prescription Meds Do You Take Daily?
I take 4, for hypertension and cholesterol control. I hate dumping these chemicals in my body, but my doctor tells me I haven't a choice.

1. 12
plus 3 over the counter as directed by doc.

I know what you mean...it sucks, but I'd be dead without them.

Good wishes to you...listen to your doc!

2. 4 daily
one for hypertension, two for cholesterol and one for PKU.

I have another cholesterol med waiting, but I'd like to see how the ones I'm on now do first.

I'd like to drop them, but my bp is right where it should be on medication, and I have a family history of heart disease - my dad has the same cholesterol problems I do and he's had a heart attack and triple bypass- which I'd like to avoid, or at least put off as long as possible.

The PKU med...well, without that, my diet has to be severely limited, so...I'd much rather have a somewhat limited diet and take the medication.

4. You dump chemicals into your body
Everyday when you eat or drink. prescription meds are usually modified /purified versions of compounds found in nature. Cholesterol is a far more dangerous "chemical" than a script drug. FWIW, I take cholesterol, bp and an Lexapro daily-- I also inject myself once aweek with interferon which is a modified version of something the body produces naturally.

14. Four
Should be able to dump one this fall. I keep trying to dump the pain meds, but the hand pain won't let me. It's more important to be able to function than dump the meds at this time.
