1. And, they might get Jason Werth from the Phils for Javi Vazquez
the rich get richer.

2. Fuck. No reason to even have a world series this year.

3. I know

4. I say we give the Yankees and Red Sox their own league and let them play each other all 162 games.

10. Wait, don't they do that already?
Whenever I tune in to ESPN, that's all the baseball coverage I ever see anyway. There really is no reason to follow Major League Baseball, as it's just as by-the-numbers as the phoniest pro wrestling match. There are the haves, who are and ever shall be, and the Major League farm teams that develop talent for the haves and give that talent away for a song.

12. Well, ESPN's headquarters is about equidistant
to both Boston & the Bronx - Bristol, CT.

So, I'm sure some of it is a regional bias, though I don't see a ton of Yankees games on there.

This is ESPN's Sunday Night Schedule for July:

July 4 Kansas City at L.A. Angels
July 11 Chicago Cubs at L.A. Dodgers
July 18 Philadelphia at Chicago Cubs (6 p.m.)

Though, they did broadcast two Yankees-Red Sox and one Yankees-Mets game this year.

13. I was thinking more about Baseball Tonight
Which is about 20 minutes of Yankees and Red Sox highlights, six minutes of commentary about what the Yankees or Red Sox might do tomorrow, two minutes of previews for the Yankees and the Red Sox next series whenever it is, and two minutes on the rest of the Majors. Although, if there's a no hitter or a perfect game or something, they'll squeeze that in alongside the latest on Joba Chamberlain.

6. Oh good lord.
I hope the Nats don't trade Adam Dunn. I'm waiting for the Yanks to go looking for a good DH yet. This is a REALLY good reason to hate the Yankees in my opinion. Greedy SOB's. I suspect this is a so the Red Sox/Tampa Bay don't get him move.

7. Not just the Red Sox & Rays, but the Twins
Cliff Lee killed them in the World Series last year - imagine if the Twins had him against the Yankees in the playoffs? The Twins were the original favorites to get Lee.

Yanks may get their DH in Jason Werth if they trade Javi Vazquez

8. I really doubt the Yankees care about the Twins
They beat them pretty well all the time. However, the signing a player to keep them away from the BoSox...Thats exactly what they did with A Roid......

11. It's not quite Home Run City this year
but, it does make for a pretty good starting pitching staff.

15. I saw that - left work around 5pm to pick up my daughter
and it was Lee to the Yankees still... by the time I made a few stops & got back into the around 6pm, it was Lee to the Rangers.

16. Well, well.
No matter what I say about the Yankees, the kind of bashing I want to see will now be at the hands of Cliff Lee and the Texas Rangers in September and October.

Oh, hell yeah.
