Any advice on how to do it would be greatly appreciated.

4. I Like Her And Want To
Do something stupid enough to share a few common problems for the rest of my life.

5. Well, hell, if that's the case...

What are you doing at DU! Go for it, man! Vegas is only a car-ride/plane-flight away! True love awaits! Do not pass go and (definitely) do not collect $200. You only live once.

Not 18? Iowa has a lower legal standard than the other 49 states, and Mexican weddings (which are valid in the US by treaty) allow marriage at 14 (13 w/ parent's consent).

Also, don't forget about the communication thing. This is one of the few subjects that both Cosmopolitan and Dr. Phil are both correct on. Oh, and you need to be sure whether or not you both want kids before you get married. Just figure out what the problem areas are before you tie the knot, and if there's something you think might, just possibly, be a problem after you get hitched, then it definitely will be.

One last thing: beneath my rather shallow veneer of cynicism, I'm a hopeless romatic, so go for it!

2. At what stage
in this process are you? Do you have the woman yet? Are you sure it's the right one? Do you want advice on how to propose? Etc. ...

6. We've Enjoyed Each Other
For a couple of weeks and have made arrangements for more.

She enjoys shopping in Chicago and I 'm 700 miles away stuck in "Home Depot."

7. Couple of weeks
seems to be a little soon to be "committing matrimony." Can you arrange to spend a week or two together at least? Nothing takes the bloom off than being with each-other 24/7. You can find out if you are "in love" or if you love her. Just my 2 cents.

My best to you and hope it all works out the way you hope it will.
