Nothing like fresh peaches from your own tree!

1. I'm waiting for Lelapin's trip to NC to see her grandparents
Grandma always sends back peaches. This year it's peach marmalade. I've never canned before, so this should be interesting. ;)

3. Grandma asked, "Did you remember to put a peach pit in the bottom of each jar for a fresher flavor?"

Nothing like fresh peach jam . . . unless, of course, it's fresh peach pie.**

Yummy!

4. My dear av8rdave!
Oh, lucky you!

We had two trees in Livermore, and every year they bore like crazy! There's nothing like a tree-ripened peach!

How I miss having those...

Enjoy, you lucky dog, you!

:hi:

6. I was afraid I over-pruned this winter, but
the best yield ever!

I was able to give away several bags to my town's food bank.

A good year for peaches!

5. I just harvested mine last week
I delivered a 5 gal bucket of peaches to some friends who made jam with it and gave me half. She is really getting good at making it. This year is the best she has ever done and the stuff is awesome. The last couple of days I've been enjoying it on toast made from crusty homemade bread.

7. I did that a couple of years ago
It was the most divine nectar-of-the-gods substance I have ever put in my mouth.

Don't have those peach trees anymore, unfortunately.
