2. In-canal earpieces rock
I use a Danish set at work...no microphone, just custom earmolds for each ear. The "microphone" is internal to the earmold and picks up voice from jawbone vibrations. No hand microphone, no boom mike. It's great.

6. Those look awesome
A bit on the pricey side, though, at almost a grand.

8. Thanks to a deal with my company, I got them for considerably less than that
I used to use a Sennheiser active noise suppression headset, but it was a total piece of junk. Surprising, given Sennheiser's reputation. These are a vast improvement.

3. I use Bose earbuds.
They're pretty damned good!

Though I really should have voted for DUPE OF EARL!

5. Hard to jog with earmuffs. In ear headphones work best for me.
Earbuds just fall out or twist around so the sound isn't well focused.

I have a set of Klipsch ear phones that are amazing. They have a silicone shell you can barely feel and that act as noise cancellation, and they stay in place fairly well. They are a little hard to get positioned in the sweet spot, but once you do, the sound will amaze. Only 60 bucks. The best cheap ones I've found are JVC Marshmellows, for under 20. They sound suprisingly good, but unfortunately for me the tips don't stay in my ear well.

7. I can't stand anything shoved into my ear. After 20-30 minutes of exercise my ears
ACHE, and I've got another 20-30 minutes to go. Plus I think the kind that shove into your ears are worse for your hearing, and I don't need to be going deaf.
