1. That is the saddest song

to try to listen to, knowing that he knew he was dying. I heard it on the radio just the other day again.

I'm just glad for him that he had the time to pull together the things he wanted to say and do before he died.

2. I played a memorial show for Zevon shortly after his death...

and closed with that song. My eyes were leaking from the first note to the last.
