2. I like being not easily distinguished
It lets you blend in and disappear easily.

Unlike the idiot that held up a convenience store and had FUCK tattooed across his forehead-he should at least worn a hat.

8. My friend and I got into a discussion recently about how we're always planning to get
away with crimes we're never going to commit. Tattoos are one thing I always think "well, I wouldn't want anything to easily identify me if I want to get away with a crime." How silly is that? But maybe I'm preparing for the day when the Republican fascists take over and I will be considered a criminal by virtue of the fact that I'm a liberal.

9. a smart criminal would cover her/himself in fake tattoos
These days, everyone always assumes the tats are real.

10. Good point! When I finally commit that crime of who-knows-what, I will get a whole
bunch of fake tattoos before I do it and make sure the surveillance camera sees them. Genius! :)

13. Maybe he figures that he's preemptively creating grounds for appeal
If the police don't put him in a lineup with five other equally freakishly tatted people, perhaps he thinks he can contest the ID...

(Actually, I do wonder if police have to create some kind of similarity in tattoo-degree when they arrange lineups - it seems like it would be fair. But then, what if that devil-horned fellow commits a crime; do they need a quorum of similarly-horned folk?)
