Christmas spirit

A couple of nights ago my spouse happened upon a ridiculously impressive display of Christmas lights, a la Disney. So last night I'm cajoled an browbeaten into having a look-see. (I'm not particularly enamored of the Christmas holiday, and it's hard to get excited about X-mas lights without little kids around to ooh and aah.) In any case, here I am driving through this impressive display on probably 10 acres of land (this is in New England, by the way) enjoying the lights (yeah, I caved on the oohing and aahing). When we entered the grounds, we were asked to turn off our headlights, which I did. But I have daytime running lights, and I can't go completely dark. It didn't really matter, but here I am driving around, and a driver coming from the opposite direction yells out to me (windows were open), "Hey, turn off your headlights." There was an implied "f***ing" in between your and headlights - that was the tone.

So much for Christmas spirit. Had to chuckle.
