"You don't know what you're stuck with till it's gone."

Ever have that experience? You were in a relationship or other situation (work, etc.) that you were OK with....then for whatever reason it ended and then you realized what a drag it really had been?



("The song" refers to "Big Yellow Taxi.")

4. It's been 5 months since the girlfriend and her daughter took off.
It's been really hard on me, and to know that she ran back to her ex-husband makes it all the more difficult. But I'm starting to see what a truly useless person she was. She didn't want to work, she didn't want to get married. When I started discussing "the future" with her, that's where things got weird. Soon after that she was gone. I didn't deserve the pain she caused, and I never deserved the way she treated me. She's his problem now. But I found out before the holidays that she's completely miserable. She wants me back. As far as I'm concerned, she can hug a root...

5. I've had that experience. I'm so thankful now it ended.
Way too many years of my life stuck in a relationship that sucked me dry, and I thought I was happy!
