For me it would be zero. They have always owned me!

2. I got a cat in 1997. She was with me for a few years until I moved far
away from home and my dad suggested I leave her with him until I settled down. Well it has been a decade and he has not returned her to me. Plus they are very cute together: he is a huge teddy-bear of an 80 year old and she follows him around like a dog. I could never separate them at this juncture.

7. I was born into a cat-loving family. The only time I didn't live w/ kitties
was in college/post college/grad school when I lived in places that didn't allow pets. I would get desperate for a fur fix so I'd roam the streets looking for kitties to pet (dogs didn't do it for me; their fur isn't nearly as nice and they're just not as cute). I had all the neighborhood kitties named (in my head). I tell ya, I NEED kitties daily. :loveya:

10. Only technically have I owned my cats. In reality, my cats have owned me for 4 years
At least Ruby. Max is her kitten (really grown) and he's about to own me for 3 years on Feb 26.

12. I have lived with cats for most of my life. "Ownership" is another matter altogether.

13. well
when I was born and I seemed to be allergic to cats my mom was considering taking me to the pound because she had had the cat longer. I've never not had a cat and only for the last two months not had a dog.
