9. no
I thought of it while putting pepperoncinis on a cheesy hot english muffin. They use olive juice for dirty martinis. Why not pepperoncini juice?

2. Sounds like you could have a winner there. I once made a couple frosty mugs of Skittlebrau.
Cheap beer + Skittles = Skittlebrau

I don't recommend it. :puke:

3. Yea, root beer & vodka
When I was in high school. Unfortunately it tasted like crap. Mixed it up when we were painting someone's house and snuck into the liquor cabinet.

4. I have, but it is now impossible to make
My best friend & I invented the Heiderson Creme in college. It was made with Creme De Menthe and Aspen, which was an apple flavored soft drink that Pepsi made briefly in the late 70s (apparently it was a commercial disaster).

Obviously, it had a minty apple taste.

It was probably revolting, but we thought we were SO cool.

10. It didn't last long...probably for good reason
I was in Colorado at the time. It's possible it was test marketed only in certain areas.

11. I learnd a new one when I lived in California - the Cowboy Special...
triple shot of cheap bar vodka over ice. Cowboys in this western type bar used to drink it all the time. Got you very hammered, was very cheap. Kind of an ahcoholic's bargain...
Lots of fights in that place, too...

13. Some things become too hideous to drink when you are drunk.
And better stuff is too far away.

So you mix the hideous stuff with whatever else you've got, hoping to make it better.

That's how cocktails are invented.

Especially, in my own miserable experience, anything with gin or peppermint schnapps when it's -20F outside with a wind chill of -70.

There are things worse than cheap tequila (if you can imagine) things that must not be named.

Occasionally I'll have a beer or a glass of wine, but I don't drink cocktails or cheap tequila anymore for good reason.

Basically you dump a shot of Rumple Minze (100 proof German Peppermint Schnapps - but it isn't sugary) into a mug of hot cocoa. Tastes like a York Peppermint Patty.

I was feeling very smug about it all, and then went to a ski resort. When I hit the ski lodge, there on the drinks menu was something called a Sleigh Ride. Yep, Rumple Minze in hot cocoa. And apparently they'd had it for years. Crap. Anyway, it is a good drink, and you should try it sometime.

19. I tried something once that just didn't work out well.
I was so sure I could make a bloody mary by combining vodka with Pace Picante sauce.

It seemed like such a good idea.

But it was not.

20. Yes - the s.o. dubbed it The Annihilator
Start with a highball glass, 'cause you're going to need the space.

1. two shots of vodka, preferably straight out of the freezer.
2. slowly pour a Smirnoff Ice over that, from about 4 inches above the rim of the glass, so just the right amount of fizz remains.
3. if space permits (giggle), top off with raspberry lemonade.

If drinking sitting down, rise gingerly upon getting up. :P

I call it the River Phoenix because it looks healthy but it actually toxic.

Down a shot of wheatgrass juice.
Down a shot of vodka.

Repeat.

23. I used to tend bar and this couple came in and. while she ordered a rum & Coke...
.
.
.
...he said, "Make me a Jack-Off."
.
I was pretty quick on my feet back there and told him
that I couldn't make him-a do NUTHIN' -- and asked him
what he wanted to drink.
.
It turned out it was Jack Daniels and Smirnoff vodka on
the rocks. It sounded (still sounds) just plain NASTY --
I'm sure it was just for the shock value of the drink's
name (helpful hint -- never try to shock an experienced
bartender... we've seen WAY too much already).
.

I don't really know what's in it. It's some variation of the Shirley Temple.
Might be Vanilla Vodka, Soda Water and Grenadine. I'll have to ask him.

Roy Lee is my orange cat. We spent an afternoon trying to get the color just right.

Vodka, OJ, a little cran, and club. In a tall glass it looks just like an orange kitty.

31. I'm thinking that I've been making that cocktail for 20 years, is what I think.
I grow pepperoncini peppers and pickle them myself,
and I think that the properly-fermented pepperoncini
juice makes a WONDERFULLY unique cocktail when mixed
with a good vodka.

I ain't never heard of no "cinitini".
That sounds like something someone made up.

Sometimes in an attempt to make something that has a good new flavor; sometimes out of pure necessity, due to a lack of a traditional combination of ingredients. I usually give them a name. Some of the more successful ones: Lodo Mexicano, Junetini, Fruit Pop.
