8-10 inches of snow here- lots of folks were stuck on the
roads last night. It came without much warning before rush hour, and it was supposed to be mostly rain until late evening. What a mess! Most schools are closed. This is the biggest snow we have had since the blizzard last year- most of the major storms other folks have had have missed us for the most part. Kids are enjoying an extra day off after the President's Day holiday weekend.

Not in a hurry to go out there and start shoveling!

6. Let's hope this is winter's final blast.
I'm in Westmoreland Co. and we have a snow day! Except this day comes off of our Easter break. Any more snow days will be taking us to mid-June (like last year).

We got about 8 inches. Route 30 was just horrendous last night from the news coverage. It's kind of sunny now, so we are having some melt-down. I am making a pot of soup and starting to pack away winter clothing (mostly Christmas-y stuff). :hi:

7. I live in the city
Major traffic problems this morning and Port Authority Transit was shut down for a while. Everything seems to be mostly back on track now, however.

8. Washington County here
We only got about six inches. I called work and told them I was taking a vacation day. Just don't want to deal with it today.

9. Stay warm and enjoy your free time at home.
When we had ours for two weeks back to back, you would have thought my house would have ended up spotless wouldn't you?

Don't overdo the shoveling, hon. Take it slow and easy.

12. nah, had my teen do most of it
I did some, but I know how to shovel properly - been doing tai chi for years taught by a chiropractor, so I know how to do it right and take lots of breaks.

I was able to get some house-cleaning done, but it never lasts since we always just mess it up again!

13. Yikes! It's March soon. This should mean Spring!
I just checked, there's snow on our forecast. Today, a brutally cold wind came up, but the sky was cloudless, so I hope snow will fall somewhere else. :hi:
