A rash of recent digital art.
I don't do a lick of art for months and then go nuts all at once. :)

Feel free to share your latest. :)

1. Looking great!
Love the exhaust in the first one - that's always hard to do.

Here are a few recent ones from me. The Naboo craft series was dedicated to my nephew, who, today, over Skype hold up Star Wars action figures to test if I know their names. And since I'm not this familiar with the new episodes, I miserably failed ...

2. Wow, those are great!
Those last two look so real it's scary. I feel like I could reach out touch Jupiter. All top notch.

I worked on a pic last night with those saucers you sent me for three hours only to scrap it around 2 in the morning. I just couldn't get what I wanted, so now I have to rethink things. :)

For that exhaust I almost put more work into into it than I had to. The pink/purple "plasma" effect is just a flattened sphere with a texture applied to it and placed behind the ship. By itself it was kind of lifeless, but the trailing effect was too good to discard. So I figured when I was done with the pic in Bryce that I'd take it into Photoshop and just paint in some exhaust effects nears the engine, which would have taken a little while. Instead, I tried a lens flare effect right at the back of the orb and BANG!, the picture snapped to life for me. After that it was just a couple of minor touch ups to the exhaust, and a few stars, which took 2 minutes and it was done. Yay for Photoshop! :)

3. Thank you!
The one with the discovery is straight from the render engine, no touch ups at all. Which is rare for me.

Yay for Photoshop indeed! :)

And these saucers are kind of really bland. I would have never gotten them if I knew about the limitations. Not sure (can't remember) if you can add some reflection map to the meshes and up a bit the bump. I found Bryce hard to work with and never got really familiar with it.
