My friend Shelley is so funny.
She just got a new puppy, a yellow Lab. She named it Stella, because she wants to be able to go out into the backyard and yell, "Stellaaah!"

1. Lol... My cousin always wanted to name a dog "Taxi"...
for the same reason.

2. I'm going to remember that one.
My daughter goes to a restaurant in her Madison neighborhood that calls out the person's name when their order is ready. They can use any name, as long as their server is not being required to yell obscenities. She always uses Stella. They think that is her name.

Maybe I will suggest that she try "Taxi."

3. Reminds me of that scene from the movie "Beethoven" when they draw names from a dish.
"He's got one. I checked."

"I don't think we can name him that, sweetie. Can you see your father wandering around the neighborhood at night calling for him?"

Beautiful because they didn't actually have to say the word - keeping the rating clean - but you KNEW what they meant.
