Ulp, I'm getting married today!
Number two, let's see if this one sticks, hah hah.

At least I have the good sense to marry progressive Democrats.

4. Congratulations. I wish you much happiness, laughter, and peace with
your life partner.

P.S. Don't forget to visit a lawyer to update your wills, medical powers of attorney, and health proxy. Sorry to be seemingly un-romantic, but these documents are essential to protecting each other from potential crises.

6. Good Luck
But as a long timer of 30 years with the same woman I have to wonder about your atitude going in.

"Number two, let's see if this one sticks, hah hah."

Wouldn't something positive like, This one is for life, sound better?

But Good luck to both of you.

12. Get off the Internet already...
And spend some time getting ready for the hitch-up today or it won't last very long this time...
:)

We just had a simple courthouse ceremony (no fancy dress, just a nice suit and dress event) with family late on a Friday afternoon with a catered "reception dinner" in the park afterwards, and it still took us at least a full day and a half of running around screaming our heads off trying to get things organized so that we wouldn't be late.
And I thought since it had all been "organized" I'd be able to continue working a regular full time shift throughout the week as usual...silly me.

It's a "full time job" getting married in any type of ceremony. Even eloping or just jumping the broom in front of friends takes more than a whim and a couple hours to do "right".
Marriage is a beginning of a life changing event - no matter how long it lasts.

So get off the Internet already - unless you're hooking up live feed for the rest of us to view it!

:-)

And good luck, BTW. May this partnership last long and prosper!

Haele
