3. I am a die hard Simpsons lover and quoter since the Tracy Ullman show
Gotta admit it folks, they miss FAR more often than they hit. They're starting to stink. More often than not I just sit there and hardly crack a smile. Every once in a while I do laugh out loud, but they never keep me in stitches like they used too.

4. The Simpsons
& the Daily Show are the few shows on the tube that are consistantly worth watching. There was an earlier thread today that referred to a Vicar in England who was using the Simpsons as a model for Christian behavior.

They are church going.

Homer personifies simplicity. Marge is devoted to her family. Lisa is righteous. Bart is spirited.

Am paraphrasing here. I copied the article but alas, gave the article to my son for a report on wacky news for a school report so I am linkless. It was posted here earlier in the day.

5. Best show on TV from 1992-1996.
The next couple of seasons were still quite good.

Since about '98 or so, the show has SUCKED.

Still, on the strength of seasons 4-7, "The Simpsons" is one of the best TV series ever.

7. I voted "other"...
It's still better than most shows on television. Just not living fully up to it's legacy and/or potential.
