I went to look up an old friend the other day

and found out from an online obituary that she died about 5 years ago. Ever watch a movie and suddenly think of the person you saw it with? Well, she and I saw a lot of movies together over a period of about 10 years when we used to work at the same place. That's how I happened to be thinking of her.

We were pretty good outside-of-work friends for a long time. Then she left the job and we saw each other less. Eventually I moved away. Haven't seen her for about 15 years, but I've thought about getting in touch with her again several times. She was only 50 when she died.

So, if you're thinking about reconnecting with someone, don't put it off. Life is short.

I found out recently that someone I wanted to reconnect with has passed away as well. Time to write some letters to a few others.

I'm surprised how much its affecting me, but I just lost another friend a month ago.
