The little DU icon in the browser tab just changed

9. Mine has one in the black at the uppper screen edge; I did what schools do; put black tape on it...

Many people are willing to IM or make youtube videos showing themselves and their house, they never give it a second thought as it's a standard feature, not an add-on. I didn't see it at first, but it's top center under the top black edge.

Even laptops have onboard webcams built in and in-built audio. There was a stink about a voyeur administrator watching ids do their homework on from school in their bedrooms. They didn't realize the laptop was broadcasting them all the time.

The speakers go both ways. I checked the input decibel level in my control panel but everyone of these computers I've bought in recent years, starts up in IM mode and there I or my kid was, full screen. My kid was excited like 'Great! I'm gonna be a movie star!' but I put the kabosh on that right quick, but didn't show how.

My iMac won't stop taking visual without the tape although I shut off the built-in mic and only allow corded input devices. I also don't do wireless, only hard wire. The local school decided to put on tape to prevent broadcasting the kiddies in class...

I'm sure everyone here takes precautions. Or else is more sexy than me in their nighties, anyway Oh, the wonders of technology...

Now that I'm home from work and on my home comp, it's back to regular du. However, my DU3 preview bookmark has the newer DU icon.
