I have opened a yahoo group to serve as a message board for my local democracy for americal affliate. To my horror one of the ads at the bottom of for the log cabin Republicans. Can I get rid of that ad? Please help.

2. No, you can't
it's part and parcel of the free yahoo stuff. The ad will change, though, and cycle through quite a wide range of things.

But for the most part, no one will ever notice the ads anyway.

LCR are paying (quite a bit I might ad, as I have dealt with Yahoo ads).. I would guess you have content that attracts LCR ads.. hence.. I doubt there is anything you can do... I would review the TOS... I'm sure they covered it.

4. Make your Group UNLISTED
so it doesn't appear in the directory. that may help. I'm looking at the other options also.

? Is it a private group?

5. No it isn't a private group
I will take it out of politics though and see if that gets rid of the ad. Though, on one level it would be fun to make them pay to host my group.

6. LOL
but you can check the radio button to make it unlisted. it may cut down the ads but not stop them because thats how Yahoo pays for it.
