Poll question: Where do you eat?
When you are having a meal at home, where do you eat it most of the time?

Examples:
Table with chairs - dining room table, breakfast nook with table and chairs
In front of the TV - sitting on the floor, sitting on the couch, sitting at a coffee table on the floor or on the couch
In the kitchen - at a bar or at the counter in the kitchen (standing)
In bed- who cares about crumbs?

1. Other
Because it varies a lot. Usually at the kitchen table or in the 'middle room' where the computers are :D Occasionally in the living room if I'm reading something at the time...

2. I hope that I'm not going to get shot down for this...
but occasionally we eat in front of the TV watching "King of the Hill" "in honor" of our pro-Bush relatives in OK. We will never admit to any raucus laughter.

3. You are cool...
In my entire life, I've probably had my meals at home at a table with chairs less than 40 times. I'm 33 years old, you do the math.

I have always eaten in front of the TV.

12. too much in front of the TV at times
when we were kids that would never have happened. Of course the dining room table being covered with Legos/ Hogwarts castle is my excuse!

4. I have a $5 TV tray I bought from IKEA that folds out.
I either eat off that, or just hold the plate of whatever I am eating in my hands. I have a small dinette set, but I have other stuff on it. I might have eaten at it 5 times in 3 years.

5. Dining room is the most underused
room. We always congregate in the kitchen. It's the hub of the house.

8. Hubby and I used to argue over this one ...
He wanted to eat in the living room watching t.v. or doing something else. If he could take all his meals in front of the computer, I think he would!

I, on the other hand, think it's good for the kids to get used to having dinner together at the table. It's a good chance for us all to talk and joke around. We're not strict on over-the-top table manners, so dinner is a good time. Although hubby still eats as fast as he can and gets up from the table before the rest of us are done eating.

:hi:

9. At the computer.
Yesterday I took my keyboard out to the garage and blew all the crumbs and stuff out of it. It sure piles up in there.

10. Me too--computer
Occasionally I'll turn my keyboard over and bang it on the table to get the crumbs out.

11. Sitting on the toilet
It's very efficient to ingest a new meal while expelling the by-products of the last one. My time is valuable!
