Okay, what I have discovered is that any time I or anyone else says that Bush needs to be called to task on his lies about WMD--and every other evil thing he has gotten away with--there are all sorts of "Yeah, like *that's* going to happen!" responses.
I understand the resigned cynicism, but I'll be damned if I'm going to succumb to it myself. You all know the litany by now. Bush lied, repeatedly. He's called on it and brushes the issue aside. Says he considers the matter closed. To throw Bush's words back in his own face, "Who cares what you think? We're the ones who get to decide!"
Remember Horton Hears a Who (okay--put aside for a moment the fact that the *elephant* is the good guy in that story) when all of the Whos had to make noise at the same time in order to be heard? We need to make noise. Lots of it. Enough that the media can't ignore us.
I know the cynical response. I've made it myself. But there are about a thousand other discussions out there where you can post that. Please post in THIS thread to tell us all what you are doing to make some noise.
