"nothing normal about those Republicans"
There's nothing normal about those Republicans. No conservative would allow deficits to run out of control, blur the lines of church and state or appoint an attorney general that tramples on the rights of Americans.

This is what needs to be said again and again, and we'll have a landslide of people tossing the Chimpster out of office in 2004. Bush is not a Republican, he's a maniac. Real Republicans (not the Bush/Rove/Delay types) don't believe in the crap Bush is doing either!

2. Not To Mention Championing States' Rights Only When Useful
When Oregon wanted a humane euthanasia policy, Ashcroft had no qualms about peeing on states' rights. Bush's administration has nothing to do with actual conservatism. I know of no administration that has tied policy to political gain more than the current one.

3. John DiIulio was right
When he called the crowd in the White House the "Mayberry Machiavellis"

"There is no precedent in any modern White House for what is going on in this one: a complete lack of a policy apparatus," says DiIulio. "What you’ve got is everything—and I mean everything—being run by the political arm. It’s the reign of the Mayberry Machiavellis."

machiavelian:

Of or pertaining to Machiavel, or to his supposed principles; politically cunning; characterized by duplicity or bad faith; crafty.

One who adopts the principles of Machiavel; a cunning and unprincipled politician.

5. Great mantra...
Kerry makes stop in Ames
Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry stood atop a wooden counter to address about 150 Democrats at the American Country Store in downtown Ames on Friday.
With his head among the lights, Kerry charged the Bush administration and the Republican-controlled Congress with obscuring 227 years of American history in the three years since a national election.
"There's nothing normal about those Republicans," he said. "No conservative would allow deficits to run out of control, blur the lines of church and state or appoint an attorney general that tramples on the rights of Americans."
