Mike Barnicle is an asshole

As a Massachusetts native, I've been exposed to Barnicle's Joe Everyman routine in print and on the air for longer than I can tolerate anymore. When he was fired by the Boston Globe for plagiarism a few years back, some of us naively thought we were rid of him, but now he's back as a Media Whore and Rove lackey of the first magnitude. Mike will never pass up an opportunity to participate in the ridicule and/or distortion of the words of whatever Democrat is currently prominent. Tonight, on Hardball, in true "When did he stop beating his wife" fashion, Mike asked his guests: "When Governor Dean BUYS INTO conspiracy theories (about the Saudis tipping Shrub off to 9/11), why can't the other candidates get any traction?" (Apparently because not enough "journalists" like Mike in the media are doing their job!) Then, an "objective" guest expert weighs in on how Dean had to "backtrack" from his "statement" that Osama "may not be responsible" for 9/11 and (Horrors!) should receive a fair trial.
This is just the beginning of the inevitable year-long onslaught of grossly unfair misrepresentations and distortions we can expect from the fair and balanced set. They did it to Gore and they will do it to any Democrat who gains any momentum whatsoever. And look for Middle-of-the-Road Mikey to be leading the charge.
I'm not sold on Dean yet, but this kind of shit makes me furious.:mad:

3. There is a civil war going on in this

country. The pukes will not be civil. Now that they are on the verge of a complete takeover, they have no reason not to go for full onslaught and total annihilation. Fasten your seat belts.

The next time Bush gives a speech (Saturday radio address?) we should listen carefully for anything objectionable.

If we find it, we should contact a bunch of news organization, bloggers, etc. to try to turn it into something the pundits can talk about.

Being anti-Democrat is only part of why they turn Dean's reasonable statements into pseudo-controversies. They also want to fill airtime.

If we listen carefully to Bush during his Saturday radio addresses or other upcoming speeches, we can give them something else to fill airtime with.

This is how Trent Lott was forced to resign as Senate Majority Leader. The bloggers made an issue of something he said before tv or newspapers did.
