Just passing this along. I think if this guy really wants to get attention for his song, he should announce that the song is a tribute to the guy who was arrested and sentenced to like 3 years in prison in Oregon for making a joke involving the phrase "Burning Bush" in a bar...
=====================================================================
I'm an artist from Detroit, MI. I wrote the song, "Burning Bush" early last year, and without much success the song has had no break through to any media. I decided to find people of like minds from all over, and get as many people as I can to hear the song. Please listen to it, download it, burn it on a CD, put it on your MP3 player, pass it on to friends and family, etc.
My Story:
I voted for the first time in 2000 at the age of 21, and it was wasted over a faulty election. Obviously, every vote doesn't count.
Since then, I realized how many problems I have run in to during Bush's administration and previous ones that have negatively impacted the current state of the US. These are some reasons why I feel this way: I haven't been able to afford health insurance for my wife and I for three years. I'm at risk of losing my contractual job at a community mental health agency in Detroit because no money is being spent for mental health, especially within the inner city. I've become in debt with student loans that I'm barely able to manage because there is no other way for a lower middle class kid to pay the educational costs each semester. A family friend from Port Hope, MI, Aaron Elandt, was killed in Iraq, and his loss seems like it was for another purpose other than what he was told. I could go on but you get my point. This is my perspective in Detroit, MI, and this is how I feel about Mr. Bush...
Lyrics to Burning Bush:
I voted for Al Gore, but what was my vote for, since you cheated to get through the White House Doors? A cokehead holding the presidential floor a political criminal using all your force.
Of course, I can't blame it on one man, but understand you killed more death row inmates by your hands, than any other governor across the land. Minorities being killed and nobody gives a damn!
It was messed up that the voting was corrupt, but hold up after 9/11 the whole world was shook up. And, you used us for our trust, “In God we trust”. Bombing Afghanistan leaving it in dust.
Refugees scattering across the borderline to Pakistan. Some children dying in the firing line. Yet, if I commit a murder it's considered a crime, don't worry you'll be given yours in due time.
Your vengeance didn't end at that attack. You went back and sent troops to the sands of Iraq. At last you finished your Dad's mishaps in the past and had a reason since 9/11's aftermath.
After destroying the government and leaving nothing, the bombing stopped looking for weapons of mass destruction, but you found nothing and we kept trusting. The story has no substance and no justice.
Civilians still getting killed in the war you started. You surpassed your father and still went farther. Murdering martyrs, our soldiers working harder and harder in guerilla warfare still targets.
Killing innocent citizens, but the families are victims you tricked them into thinking there's a good reason. Triggering funeral after funeral being given do you have any misgivings? No!
Hundreds of billions of dollars being blown, when we have wars to fight in our very own ghettos Like the war on poverty and corporate criminals. Just look at the bums outside the White House windows.
Still, you held on to your religious crusade. Abortion is killing, but wars okay? Trying to find Saddam Hussein. It's all insane to blame one man when your just the same.
From the lack of evidence for your defense, the jury has reached a verdict for the president. I hoped you learned a lesson from the crimes aforementioned, if you didn't you'll realize after your sentence.
It figures accept your verdict. Your guilty! I'm happy to hand this sentence out quickly. I'm giving you life because I don't believe in the death penalty. You're the worst criminal in our nation's history.
