5. Well, sort of.
If the link is to a toon I can just look at the picture and read the dialogue and/or caption.

Otherwise, the link is likely to be to an article, with a few paragraphs of text excerpted and more available via hyperlink. That means if I click on it I'll be faced with some text, requiring more effort than a toon.

I actually do follow text links fairly often, but there's so much information on DU that I have to be selective. A toon takes much less time.

6. Maybe I'll follow your strategy,
cause you are so correct. There is a lot of info on DU and selectivity is the key.
