WSJ praises, disses energy efficient light bulbs
In a schizophrenic article, the Wall Street journal both praises the energy savings from advanced light bulbs then ends the article with a sinister quote.

says Mr. Soares of Philips. "In the end, CFLs may be a bridge technology to get us to some point in the future."
...
Sales of LEDs at Home Depot, including the retailer's own "EcoSmart" bulb brand, rose 500% in the last fiscal year ended Jan. 30. "I really believe LEDs will be our light source for every socket in our home in very short order here," says the retailer's Mr. Hamilton.

Then the sinister quote:
"Right now people don't think about light bulbs," says Ellen Sizemore, product marketing manager for LED retrofit lamps at Osram Sylvania. "And the industry is going to force them to do that."

Is this just another psycho crap article out of the even horizon of crazy central? Or is this article merely the victim of editorial "improvement?"

Read the entire article here: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702303745304576357320903322848.html?mod=WSJ_article_RecentColumns_AbouttheHouse#project%3DBULB0601%26articleTabs%3Darticle

There is a nice side-by-side photo of the various light bulb options in the "Interactive Graphics" tab.

3. No spin, using the word "force?"
It is true that the light bulb industry has to educate people of the choices available, which have multiplied by a factor of 10 when you think of all the shapes and sizes that LED bulbs can come in.

But isn't it the Bush administration that actually "forced" the people to move into these more energy efficient bulbs, his legislation was signed in 2007.
