I don't know how to get the image to show, but I'll link to the page. If you go up the scale and pick all the years, every measure up to 14 KM is lower than previous years with those above that height very close to bottom. (One channel -04 Near Surface not working, but the others are).

1. We have had a reprieve from hellish record highs here most of the last two years.
I guess this means that the glaciers and ice caps aren't really disappearing?

2. Spencer and Braswell, both active denialists
Infamous for using uncorrected data from their satellite series. If you mouse over the "Temperature Data Caveat" they admit that the data they display "... has only limited quality control"

The data they provide is often used by Anthony Watts on "Watts Up With That" blog. Watts is the guy that that back pedaled from accepting the recently published BEST data analysis by Muller et al.

“And, I’m prepared to accept whatever result they produce, even if it proves my premise wrong. I’m taking this bold step because the method has promise. So let’s not pay attention to the little yippers who want to tear it down before they even see the results.”

“This is sad, because I had very high hopes for this project as the methodology is looked very promising to get a better handle on station discontinuity issues with their “scalpel” method. Now it looks just like another rush to judgement, peer review be damned.”

6. Sorry...
...I figured since this same site was being used here last year as proof of that warming was happening because 2010 was the hottest year on record(and everybody accepted it), that the data presented was valid.

3. No they aren't?
Current near-surface: warmer than every year except 2003. 14000 feet AGL: warmer than every year except 2005. (as of 6AM GMT on 1 November.)

4. I don't know which image you're looking at.

On mine, near surface says there has been no data since 2007. 14000 feet says the data is up to 28 Oct and has a temperature of -20.81, the coolest of that date in all the years shown with 2002 coming in second at -20.72. (On edit...it you're looking at the value for 1 November, you might be looking at the 2010 level, not 2011).

5. No, they aren't what?
The data still carries the caveat about being essentially uncorrected, possibly for things like sensor degradation and orbital decay; the last being a problem they had back in the 1990s.

Additionally the UA Huntsville also has a caveat about the site (opens in a new page)

I find it interesting that they publish no commentary about the data and could not quickly find any statement about funding.
