WHAT:

EPA Administrator Mike Leavitt will introduce a pair of innovative clean air regulations that will bring Ohio the most rapid and significant air quality improvement in over a decade. Taken together, these new rules, which regulate sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide and mercury (first time ever from coal-fired power plants) represent the largest single industry investment in any clean air program in U.S. history.

WHO: EPA Administrator Mike Leavitt, EPA Region 5 Administrator Tom Skinner and Ohio EPA Director Chris Jones.

WHEN: Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 10 a.m.

WHERE: Burke Lakefront Airport, a city-owned and -operated facility at 1501 N. Marginal Road. Take Interstate 90 to the E. Ninth Street exit, then go north through downtown toward Lake Erie, then go east on N. Marginal Road.

1. We got inside the meeting and held up signs. Media filmed &interviewed us
We threw EPA Chief Leavitt off of his game. He did not expect a dozen or more environmental activists in the room when he made his presentation. He was not a very impressive speaker and wasted time talking about Saddam Hussein and his good buddy Colin Powell. The insouciant Utah Governor that bush* appointed to protect our health even referred to the environmentalists as "not helpful" and he said we were "poisoning the political well". Thanks a lot, mister. Come on back to Cleveland anytime, you gave me a chance to speak to the AP writer, Waste News industry magazine reporter, public radio, and two commercial radio stations. A TV station even filmed us. This story is not over.
