went to the auto show. puke
really ready to buy the first decent replacement for my old, very necessary to my situation, chevy suburban. or even my little old saab, that is my main car. all the cars there were big and bullyish. all muscle and intimidation, with cramped interiors. and a lot of useless yayas. and talk about your greenwash. hummer hydrogen? "showing our commitment to the environment." yeah, you sure did.
i may break down and get a hybrid for around town, and start looking for a diesel suburban, so i can at least burn biodiesel. not sure where to get it around here, but i would hope their either is one, or is one on the way. there are a lot of independent gas stations around here.
but i was just so appalled. my first car was a 63 beetle, and there wasn't a car there that beat the mpg.

7. there are so many restaurants in chicago.
somebody ought to be able to do this on a fairly large scale. i can't really picture myself doing this, to be honest. but i would sure enough buy it at the corner gas station if i could.

3. You nailed it with "cramped interiors"
Don't get me wrong, the gas guzzler aspect is heinous enough. But whatever happened to LEGROOM and COMFORT???

I'll never forget how roomy my 87 Taurus was, with TRUNK SPACE TO BOOT!

4. obese people don't need leg room
have pity on car designers, it is really hard to
make a step-up school bus type vehicle,
look reasonable
