Al Gore says Tories' green plan a 'fraud'
Al Gore says Tories' green plan a 'fraud' designed to mislead Canadians
The Conservatives' new environmental platform is a "complete and total fraud" that is "designed to mislead the Canadian people," former U.S. vice-president Al Gore said Saturday.

The noted environmentalist was presenting his documentary "An Inconvenient Truth" in Toronto at a consumer environmental show, with Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty and environmentalist David Suzuki in attendance.

Gore praised Suzuki for confronting Environment Minister John Baird on Friday, saying he saw the two exchange words on TV.

When Baird told Suzuki the Conservatives were going further than any other government in Canadian history, Suzuki said it wasn't enough.

2. Sheesh, what a difference a few years make. Even though all WON
THE 2000 ELECTION, he was surely a different man back then. Just think what he could do now.

3. Perhaps your perception of him through a media filter is what was different?
In any case, the topic is about Gore's comment on the Canadian Conservative's "Green Plan", not speculation of what Gore could do now if he were the US President.

More to the point, it's about what he IS doing now, which is significant.

Yes, now is what counts. I didn't say otherwise. And I wasn't speculating about shit. I POINTED OUT WHAT A DIFFERENCE IN THE MAN.

edit: Please, answer a question for me. So often people here start reading crap into remarks that isn't there. You seem to be a master. Why do you do that?

7. Actually, you did speculate.
"Just think what he could do now." is speculation.

And I did not do any reading into any of your remarks, but thankyou for the "master" designation anyway.

9. The 'think what he could do now' remark had nothing to do with him
being president. It was made as to the change in Al Gore, his forceful style, his take no shit from anyone attitude. Not some in depth reflection on what he could do as president. In fact, I wasn't thinking of what he could do as President at all. It had more to do with his campaign style back then, his perceived lack will, of being wishy washy, the wrongful opinion that he would be 'weak'.

If I called you master it was because I'm having trouble typing tonight. I wouldn't call you a master of anything.

I asked a question of a guy last night, person just like you. I asked what in the world makes people like him (and you big time) think that you can read minds, that you know what someone means more than the person who made the remark in the first place. What makes you so arrogant that you can tell someone else what they mean?

10. All I can do is go by what you type
so if you're too tired to type something that makes sense, maybe don't type.

And if you're inclinded to insult others, as it appears you do day after day, perhaps sell your computer and get out in the world where you can learn some social skills.

11. Yeah, I'll just hop right on that boss.
Considering the original smarmy post came from you, I'd advise you to take your own advice.

Other than that, I don't care what you think (If you'll please excuse the exaggeration).

12. Well, in any event...
you can go change your underwear, because Al Gore isn't President, and he is doing a lot right now.

Just think, huh?

8. To the Canadian Parliament? He won't be. There's a suitable plan on the table, actually....
Bill C-30.

I'm curious, what are you referring to? Does Gore have a plan for Canada?
