Bomb Squad Called For Suspicious Package in High Point, NC. (Socks, shoes and clothing)
suspicisious package in High Point created a nightmare this Saturday afternoon.

High Point, NC -- Main Street north of downtown was closed for three hours as the bomb squad was called in to look at a suspicious suitcase

Police kept our News 2 crew several blocks away, but there were two explosions heard off in the distance.

All that was inside the suitcase were socks, shoes, and clothing.

Several businesses were closed while this was happening. They are now back open.

As for the suitcase, police will go through the clothing and try to track down the owner.

High Point Police are still investigating this case.

WFMY News 2's Erich Spivey has more with this report.
