1. a little bit longer report, not much more informative at this time
26/3/2004

Military helicopters attack teenagers in Ingushetia

On March 25, a 15-year-old teenager was killed and two teenagers were badly wounded in a missile attack from a military helicopter on the outskirts of the village of Ordzhonikidzevskaya, Ingushetia's Sunzha district, a source at the Ingush Interior Ministry told the Caucasian Knot correspondent. The source denied the information spread before that the fire had been opened on a moving UAZ car.

--snip--

The happening has aroused burning indignation among the Ingush
population. People rate the recent developments in the republic,
including unwarranted arrests and abductions of civilians, as direct
attempts to extend military operations to the territory of Ingushetia.

Group of invaders eliminated near Samashki

Chechen Commander (Amir) Abu- Sayaf reported to Kavkaz Center news and information agency about a successful combat operation that Chechen Armed Forces carried out near the village of Samashki. Commander Abu-Sayaf reported that March 19 at 9:20 AM Chechen troops detonated a landmine under the armored personnel carrier that accompanied a Ural truck on the road leading from Samashki towards the Rostov-Baku highway. After the blast the invaders came under a grenade-launcher attack. During the short combat Chechen troops eliminated four invaders and wounded at least three.

Several minutes later a UAZ jeep with collaborators on board drove up to the combat scene. The Mujahideen (the fighters) attacked the jeep killing four national traitors. Two officers of the so-called pro-Moscow police and two of their bodyguards were on board the vehicle. Chechen fighters seized their weapons – four assault rifles and two handguns. Two assault rifles out of four were special weapons used by the invaders' Spetznaz special forces.

5. A substantial list of dead Russian soldiers in evidence too,
and a comment that Russia intends to reduce troop levels in
Chechnya by 3000 out of 70,000 or so. Sure glad things are
getting "normalized" there. I am wondering whether the
catfight in Georgia will add to the chaos. Georgia was
fairly chaotic to begin with, or so I have read, and a popular
hangout for the Chechnyan resistance between "operations".
