Everybody is aware of this lumbering metaphor. Trouble is, you have lesbians and trans-gendered folks in the Pink Pistols where "penis" is kind of irrelevant (except for a portion of the latter). If the organization were strictly a gay male group, then folks can grab hold of your meaning!

It has such an obvious double meaning. If Will & Grace were still on the air they'd do an entire episode about it since half the show was bad gay puns.
