Homeless man found fatally shot near Dallas Convention Center
A 29-year-old homeless man died early Saturday morning after he was shot multiple times at close range, according to Dallas police reports.

Lonell Merchant was found dead by a police officer who heard the shots about 2 a.m. on a sidewalk near the Dallas Convention Center in the 500 block of Cadiz Street, reports said.

Police said they had no suspects.
