Things are so out of control
I feel like I'm going to be sick.

From the Huffington Post:

Joe Wilson 'You Lie' Slogan Etched Onto Line Of Assault Rifle Components

Rep. Joe Wilson's (R-S.C.) health care-era "you lie" interruption of President Obama is now reportedly being commemorated with a place on a new, limited edition line of assault rifle components.

4. Yes it is disgusting how gun control supporters try to exploit tragedy to push a pre-
Existing agenda. In fact it is their tactic to wait for a shooting before they jump on it to exploit it.

Disgusting that they turn tragedy into a political game

11. That is really stupid. Like people turn oil spills into legislation? Or plane crashes? .....
Isn't that the point, make things better?? Wow, FAIL!

13. People don't wait like vultures to use an oil spill to pass irrational laws
But gun control supporters are always waiting for a crisis to exploit and use lies and deception to pass laws that do no good in the end

12. How about ...
the tragedy brought it all out into the forefront again? Maybe people don't think about guns all the time until something like this happens. Then it's on their minds again.

It may surprise you, but non-political people or rather everyday people, going about their business day in and day out, don't think much about guns. That is until something like this happens.

into a pawn willing to ban your own rights and pass control of firearms to the same government that the bush administration used to control and a future bush will control again. Great idea, let's hand the next bush total control of the guns and accessories. I'm sure that when liberals are being selectively disarmed someday with help from the laws and gun registration schemes passed by other administrations you will start to understand why gun control is dangerous.

6. I wonder
when did we as a country come to value our guns more than knowledge? Was it under Reagan or after that?

9. What knowledge, I post up real facts and real stats that show that
Nations with low civilian gun possession rates average 5 times higher murder rates, backed by a t test at 95% confidence interval. Yet gun control supporters ignore it because it dies not support their ideology. So the real question is when did political views become more important than data, facts scientific and intellectual honesty. I challenge the anti gun folk to show me some real data that shows that gun control works

spit out 30 rounds in a matter of seconds is going to make society safer? Honestly? No one I know wants to take away your precious guns. It's the type of gun. It's a safety issue.

Tell me this. Who really needs to own mega assault weapons capable of taking down a crowd in a matter of minutes?

Edit: And while you're dreaming up a reasonable answer, tell me who would buy a "you lie" etched gun?

19. you do realize that
almost any gun can fire 30 rounds in a matter of seconds?

1911 pistol. Magazine capacity is 8 rounds. Thats it. BUT they make a 40 round drum mag for it. Or you can just reload. Cho did it in VT and his only held 10 or so rounds. Any common pistol, and even quite a few rifles, can accept large capacity magazines. You are saying the type of gun. Get rid of them for safety. What you really mean is "most" guns.

Cars kill far more people. Now Im not going there so dont close your mind. Over the years our cars have become much safer. Thats real progression. What we need here is a step in the right direction. Restrictions on the tool will accomplish nothing. We need to reform our ability to catch these lunatics before they do this. If there were no guns they would still do it. Afaik the deadliest school attack was a home made bomb, not a attack with a gun. Help is what these people need.

22. I don't want to say guns are bad
but it seems lately some people love their guns more than their children and thats just wrong. You shouldn't have to flaunt your guns around to feel like a man. If you feel you need a gun to protect yourself find, but don't wave it in my face to try and get what you want.

But what about free speech?

Is it free speech, or 'only things we like to hear' speech?
