Man Accused Of Firing Gun In East El Paso - to hear the sound it made
http://www.kfoxtv.com/news/26932685/detail.html

El Paso police said a man fired a gun in East El Paso just to see what the gun would sound like when fired.

Officers said they arrested 22-year-old Jerrelle Hernandez Saturday. They said he fired two rounds near the Las Estancias Apartments. Officers said they found two .40 caliber shell casings on the ground.

Coming to a Texas college campus near you.

2. DU Headline....
Another Pointless Post That Proves ZERO!

More pointless ramblings posted at DU provided zero insight into anything.

Nothing of substance was demonstrated by these posts, and most things referenced were taken at of context, were based on false data, and generally were nothing more than an emotional rant.

The author has little, if any, concrete prove of their assertions and has been known to "bend" the truth on occasion.

.... more non-news at 11:00!

7. Please feel free.....
to demonstrate your assertion with ANY factual evidence.

Or is this just your "expert" opinion?

Seems to me I've heard this somewhere before.......

Ah yes.. concealed carry laws = blood in the streets!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It never happened, and in FACT, crime has gone down EVERYWHERE it has passed!

11. So,
Are you really equating a noob gun owner that doesn't even know the sound a real gun makes, with a person that goes through the process of obtaining a Texas CHL???

13. Given the depth, or lack thereof,
of 99% of your responses to questions posed to you, your opinion is FAR from being "expert" by any stretch of the term.

I would however listen to you if the topic at hand was manure!

YUP!

8. Frat parties are always off-campus.
Concealed carry by CHL holders is currently legal at them. The new law will have no effect on them. But why let facts get in the way of your snarky rant?

3. Another good reason to teach gun safety in schools.
IMO it should be mandatory.

6. Forcing people to learn gun safety is fascism.
People don't need to be told by the government how to use their God-given right to bear guns.

10. You mean like forcing them to take math, physical ed, or sex ed? LOL
By your standard all school is fascism, or maybe it's only fascism to you if YOU don't like the subject matter.

We are dealing with a safety issue just like sex ed. Are you apposed to sex ed classes too?

16. LOL! Yeah, it SEEMS like a stupid reason

But honestly, it makes sense to me why he would do it. People do all sorts of really stupid things merely because they are curious. This by any measure is not the dumbest act ever committed. Not very smart but not the worst.

17. Coming to a Texas college campus near you.
Seriously?

What has this got to do at all with any college campus? Oh right, there is a college in EL Paso so it must be related to the impending passage of concealed carry on Texas college campuses, right?

Just so you know, the Las Estancias Apartments are nowhere near any college campus. But you knew that right, being that you live in El Paso like I do. Maybe we should get together, I'll take you out to explore our beautiful desert that surrounds El Paso and teach you how to shoot. Maybe get you over that fear of guns you have.
