Today in (insert city name here) gun owner (insert name here) used the gun to (insert stupid gun act here). Police have arrested (insert name here) and charged him with a crime.

This of course means all guns should be banned and all gun owners are just like (insert name here).

I will not respond to any comments about this post because I do not have any informative information or logical argument points. I just wanted to post this news story without any comment.

Since there does not seem to be any empirical evidence of it being a problem, what does it matter? None of the dire predictions of Brady and crew ever happened.
Also, all of these various anti carry laws there were passed in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries were passed by the right to suppress labor's ability to defend themselves against company thugs (that includes Canada in their 1934 law) and keep the Klan safe. Yes, at one time the south, including Texas, had stricter laws than the rest of the US. Most were repealed after the civil rights era. That is why Vermont never passed any gun control laws of any kind. Why should liberals defend them today?

Since 1987 Florida has issued 1,976,774 concealed weapons permits and only 168 have been revoked for the commission of a crime that involved the use of a firearm after the license was issue.

....wannabe crusader in this forum? You aren't the first and you wont be the last. YOU will eventually tire of it, because you'll eventually realize that most of the folks around here are just a bit too logical to fall for your garbage line of reasoning. But I'm sure some other sad SOB will step up in your place. Somebody for whom the idea of critical thinking comes to a dead stop when it comes to the issue of firearms. It never fails.

The real sad part is that if you were to devote even half the effort you put to this totally futile exercise to spreading awareness of the real causes of crime, you may actually help to make a difference. Instead, you are only a distraction from those issues.
