1. Personally
I've never seen the point of shooting a pistol caliber out of a carbine length rifle. It's a total waste for my purposes.

With that said, I would find a semi auto Uzi carbine for about the same price. Normal capacity mags are dirt cheap for the Uzi, they don't exist for you and I yet for the Storm.

Last time I checked, the Storms were running $600-650 for the 9mm variant. Roughly the same price for the .40 S&W and .45 ACP models.

3. Normal capacity magazines
The Storms actually accept Beretta pistol (92/96) magazines, so they are out there. They are not as cheap -- or as large -- as the Uzi mags, of course.

The Kel-Tec Sub-2000's are not nearly as stylish as the Storms, but they are cheaper and are fun to shoot. There are versions which accept Glock, Beretta, Sig, or S&W magazines in 9mm or .40S&W.

7. .45 is not released yet
I will definitely buy one as I reload 1000's of .45 ACP for my 1911.

PRO:
- 9 MM ammo is cheap and plentiful
- Pistol caliber means you can use it in most indoor ranges
- Ergonomics are unbelievable
- Can be easily switched to leftie (~ 2 mins)
- Field strip by pushing one button
- Scary accurate, especially with a red dot or scope
- Can accept top, side(2) and bottom weaver/picatinny rails (I have a vertical grip on the bottom, a BSA red-dot on the top, and taclight on one of the sides.
- Built-in front rail
- Looks cool
- Availability of hi-cap mags (I shoot 30-rounders)

CON:
- Price
- Plastic hammer (maybe a con - only time will tell)
- Mag catch spring problem (easily fixed)
- Availability of rails
