Palestinians still with Saddam
Three weeks after a bedraggled Saddam Hussein emerged form his spider hole near Tikrit to surrender to American troops, the former Iraqi president is still seen by some Palestinians as a hero and a symbol of defiance against Israel and the United States.

>

Saddam's pictures appear at different kinds of protests, including those organized against the construction of the separation fence, as well as rallies in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners, and at funerals of activists killed by soldiers. And Saddam's sympathizers can be found in almost all the Palestinian factions, including Fatah, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad.

>

However, prominent Palestinian analysts have found it difficult to bottle up their true sentiments towards Saddam and the US.

In a series of articles in the Palestinian media, which is entirely controlled by the Palestinian Authority, these analysts and commentators have expressed their dismay at the humiliation of Saddam and strongly condemned the US for its "ongoing crimes" against the Iraqi people.

13. We should have an auto-response.
Randomly generating platitudes and logically fallacies.

16. And judging some of the replies I've gotten...
I'm totally convinced it's either that or a macro where hitting F5 produces random one-liners that have zero to do with the post they're replying to. Which is why Mr. Locke's comment tickled my funnybone :)

22. Not likely
forget Sharon -- He got elected to defend Israel. If the Palestinians ever actually offered peace, Israel would elect someone else.

forget Yassir -- They'd love to, as soon as the Palestinians do.

forget forcing Palestinians out of Jerusalem -- They aren't being forced out, but it is part of Israel.

forget torturing and tormenting Palestinian People -- I don't see the Palestinian people tortured and if they are tormented it's only because a significant number of them like to kill Israeli women and children and Israel needs to stop that.

forget Netanyahoo -- Sure.

forget Stealing Land -- No land has been stolen. If the Palestinians want to negotiate a peace, Israel has shown the ability to trade land for peace.

forget crying anti-semitism over everything -- Yes, the gall to be abused for 2,000 years and take it personally.

forget supporting the terrorists (with bulldozers) -- Care to clarify?

forget shooting un-armed ISM activists -- Those who actively support terror tend to put themselves at risk.

forget teaching hatred to your children -- They can't forget, the Palestinians are teaching hate to children on both sides.

forget hoping for the destruction of the Palestinian People -- They only hope for the destruction of terrorists.

try negotiating in good faith -- Care to define what YOU mean by that?

9. It really is amazing
how many bad choices the Palestinians have made in the choices of allies, it's a real rogue's gallery of some of the most brutal fascists of the last hundred years...

After all, in 1991 they backed Hussein against the Saudis and during World War II their leadership were strong supporters of Hitler even when they were a part of the British Mandate even going so far as to work on plans for their own Jewish extermination camps with Eichmann.

As Abba Eban said, they "never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity" and it looks like they're doing it yet again...

History repeats itself when we allow it to be forgotten.

19. Who is now picking up the tab for the money sent to suiciders families?
Wasn't Saddam paying about 50k for each suicide bomber to blow up innocent Israelis? Who is paying now or are the bombers killing pro bono now?
